Skin Care Recipe to Soften and Smooth Calluses

As our nation’s weight statistics continue to rise, more and more men and women  develope callused feet. Be it from too much weight resting on the soles of the feet or dehydration, or a propencity for this unsightly dry skin condidtion. For those depending on assistive walking devices such as canes and walkers, the palms of the hands become rough and thick.

We’d like to share the following natural skin care recipe for calluses. We truly hope you enjoy its benefits! You’ll need the following ingredients:

  • 1-2 tablespoons (15-30 ml) cornmeal
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) fresh mashed avocado or avocado oil

How to make:

  1. Place the mixture in the palm of your hand. Rub both hands together (or rub on callused feet) and work the mixture into the calluses and up and around the fingers or toes.
  2. Wash off with warm water
  3. Repeat twice a week.
